You will then be able to Add sessions to your schedule and get virtual meeting access information specific to each session.

👉You need complete 6 hours of PD if you can. If not, fill your time with earning digital badges or planning. (Remember you can use planning to fill the required time, but you don’t receive CEUs for planning. It just fills your time)👈

⭐️Once you add a session to your Schedule, it virtually "reserves" your spot. If you are unable to attend one of your reserved sessions, please remove it from your Schedule ASAP. In addition, we have limited access to only allow for adding one session per time slot.

⚠️Due to the virtual, open nature of our event, reserving your virtual seat does not necessarily guarantee your spot in the presenter’s chosen video conference platform. Both the presenters and event facilitators are not responsible for guaranteeing your virtual seat. We have tried to employ strategies to reduce the chance of this from happening. There are no Face to Face sessions for this event.⚠️

BCS Better Together, is a free virtual conference for BCS educators by BCS educators. Connect and learn from BCS teachers and more, who are successfully using learning tools and strategies.

👉Make sure you fill out the FEEDBACK for every session you attend! 👈

If you are experiencing any issues with this virtual conference or need assistance, please contact Paul Huggins at phuggins@beaufort.k12.nc.us. DLC/CEU credit will be given for all sessions.

This session will discuss how to support mental health professionals, first responders, school personnel, and community members who need support - particularly when disasters strike. Role confusion, burn out, compassion fatigue, and mental health concerns are some of the common negative outcomes that helpers experience. Presenters will highlight a recent research study and use results from the study to offer recommendations for caring for oneself as a helper. This session is 90 minutes in length. https://ecu.webex.com/meet/crumbl15
